ANGLES AND SHOTS

Resultado de imagen de clavero urbex
This photo is from a medium shot, because we can see half of the model's body. In this case I've chosen this photo because it gave me a feeling that I can't describe, but it makes me think if he is a good person or not, regardless if I know him or not, and at the and I think the photo is an awesome idea, the perfect spot with the perfect illumination and edition.

Resultado de imagen de low angle shotFor sure a low angle shot because is a shot from a camera angle positioned low on the vertical axis, anywhere below the eye line, looking up. I've chosen this photo because I feel so small that I thought I was insignificant for a moment, and I have chosen this photo of the  well known Eiffel Tower because it is one of the most iconic monument in France, and it's enormous.

Resultado de imagen de claveroThis photo is for sure a portrait which the face and its expression is predominant. I've chosen this photo because Clavero's expression is so serious that makes think if all things that happen in life are good or not, for example smoking, for the smoke on the photo, or why people won't help the ones who really need to...

Resultado de imagen de areal angle shot
This is easy to recognize it, it is an aerial shot, because is a shot of a scene or photo taken from a higher vantage point than what is being filmed. In the photo I choose, we can see an enormous part of New York, and also because it made me feel like I was enormous and I have a lot of power in my hands with only taking a step.

Resultado de imagen de point of view photosThis is also easy to recognize, this photo is taken from the photographer's point of view. I've chosen this photo because it made me imagine a future when I drive such a great motorcycle like in the picture with all my friends that will drive good motorcycles too.

ICONIC IMAGE

Resultado de imagen de vulture iconic image
Kevin Carter’s iconic photograph of a starving Sudanese girl, who collapsed on her way to a feeding centre while a vulture waited nearby, will always remain controversial because of the unintended suspense it creates.

Both the child and the vulture are still, but it’s a throbbing stillness, one that makes the viewer desperate for a second frame, and the other logically, the composition suggests only two possibilities: either the vulture feasted on the child, which the viewer feels certain was only a matter of time when the photo was taken, or it did not. But these possibilities don’t exist just as possibilities, they become loaded with emotion and turn into haunting questions.

In 1993, when the image was first published in The New York Times, most people turned to Carter, a South African photojournalist, for answers. The questions were not limited to the fate of the child but extended to Carter’s ethics. Why did he stand around taking pictures instead of helping the child? The questions then turned into accusations.

I've chosen this iconic picture because it made me think and think of the little girl who is there standing starving with no help, but it made me think of how it is going to be right now, in the present: Is she alive? Is she dead? Is she good and healthy now? What she thinks about the photo..? And many more. And it made me investigate about the photo.

POVERTY IN AFRICA

POVERTY IN AFRICA

Africa is currently the poorest continent on Earth, we can understand it better by knowing that 28 countries of the continent are among the poorest on the planet. But also among the whole set of countries in Africa there are also three very rich countries in terms of economy (South Africa, Nigeria and Egypt).

Nowadays Africa is known as a poor continent, since both in the news and in the school, only the bad part of the continent is taught (wars, poverty, desert areas, the need for help, lack of education as well as food etc..), and it is not taught what the continent is really changing, as some of the countries are making great strides in the development of the country as on the continent, to try to fix the country making Africa get a better reputation. They are improving governments, making children better educated and not having to stop studying at such an early age to help their parents in the field or whatever.

Resultado de imagen de africaApart from the countries themselves, the other continents have created large organizations of people, better known as ONG, to help in Africa in every way: lack of medicines, education, food collection, etc. Whether with teachers, doctors, volunteers, among others. With their help and the money raised by the calls for help from the continent itself, it is growing and it may be as developed in the future as others. And the best thing about this is that you can also help the continent, donating or going through some experiences helping the little kids by going yourself to help them. TED TALK

How we can bring mental health support to refugees

SUMMARY

Hundreds of thousands refugees pass throughout a health catastrophe, living many dramatic scenes in their lives. In this TED TALK Fellow Essam Daod has been working in camps, rescue boats and the shorelines of Greece and the Mediterranean Sea to help refugees (a quarter of them are children) reframe their experiences through short, powerful psychological interventions.

And he presents to the people all the strategies to help this little kid. And the most important thing in this group is that we have to make the kids see their experience like something good and something that only a few people like themselves like heroes.

PERSONAL OPINION

I think this TED TALK is so interesting because I love to solve problems and more than once I've thought in helping with these operations to help these people. I think this TED TALK has only strong points because the TED TALKER is always using examples with the experiences he has gone through, using even a story. Also, I think that everyone in this world deserves an opportunity to be better than in a past and getting better with people's help. In my opinion humans can help one another and this TED TALK is an example of it.
